Chea Sithang is a dedicated farmer from Chea Spay village, Kor Koh commune, Santuk district, Kampong Thom province. Previously involved in buying and selling cashews, Sithan transitioned into farming after realizing the potential of owning land and growing his own crops. His passion for agriculture stems from his understanding of how plantations can provide a more stable and sustainable livelihood compared to the unpredictability of trade. Despite facing challenges like limited capital, pest problems, and changing weather patterns, Sithan remains committed to improving his farm and the livelihood of his community. He is a proud member of the CashewNote model, which has supported him by providing stable pricing and technical assistance.
